Happiness in our Journey!: All about Sharlee

Hello! I am the one who is writing the blog, so when I use "I" its me.

My name is Sharlee Bywater Smith. I grew up in the small town of Fielding, Utah. I have one younger sister named Kenlyn. Growing up I enjoyed being with friends, going to concerts, raising lambs for the local county fair, playing tennis, hanging out with my mom and family.

During high school I worked at the local golf course (yes, the same one Colten did.) as a receptionist. When I was a Junior I got my Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) and got a job at the nursing home, which I loved. That's where I worked threw out the rest of high school. I was very involved in high school, I played on the tennis team and loved going to dances, sporting events and everything in between. I graduated from Bear River High School and LDS Seminary in 2011.

After High School I decided I wanted to become a nurse and continued my education at Utah State University. After a semester, I decided college wasn't for me and becoming a nurse wasn't for me either. I quit college and got a full time job. After working for about a year, I decided I wanted to go back to school and become a cosmetologist. I went to New Horizons Beauty College in Logan, Utah. And that was one of the best decision I have ever made. I met some of the greatest people there. I am now a licensed cosmetologist and have been working in a salon for just over a year.

I absolutely love doing hair!! I love the flexibility that comes with doing hair. And thats why I chose this career, because I want to be a mom. I work with some of the greatest girls who I consider my best friends. I love visiting with my clients and making them feel beautiful and confident. I also work at the nursing home once a week doing hair for the elderly. Old people keep me laughing and feeling young. I love to continue my education by attending hair shows and classes. I eventually want to teach cosmetology at New Horizons and own a small salon in my home.

I love spending time with Colten, my family and my baby puppy Mokee. I am an assistant cub scout leader. I love my little scout boys. I enjoy laughing with the girls at the salon and playing with their kids. I love to help others out and love old people. I cant wait to be a mom. It has been a dream of mine, since I can remember. I love kids and they make my heart happy!!
